This page contains the full documentation for Incognito Admin Manager, a WordPress admin customization plugin designed for agencies, developers, and site owners who want to create a branded and professional WordPress admin experience. Whether you are setting up the plugin for the first time or looking for advanced configuration options, this guide covers everything you need to know.
Incognito Admin Manager requires WordPress 5.0 or higher and PHP 7.4 or higher. It works with all modern browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. The plugin is lightweight and follows WordPress coding standards, so it will not slow down your website or conflict with other plugins. Once installed, you will find all settings under the Incognito Admin menu in your WordPress dashboard.
The free version of this WordPress admin customization plugin is available on the WordPress.org plugin directory. You can install it directly from your WordPress dashboard by going to Plugins, then Add New, and searching for Incognito Admin Manager. The Pro version is a standalone plugin that does not require the free version to be installed. Simply purchase, download, upload the ZIP file through the WordPress plugin uploader, and activate it.
The Custom Login Screen module lets you transform the default WordPress login page into a branded split-screen experience. You can upload a background image that appears on the left side of the login card, set custom colors for the page background, form card, text, accent elements, and buttons. You can also hide the WordPress logo from the login page. The design is fully responsive and adapts to desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. All images must be uploaded through the WordPress Plugin Developer Handbook approved media library for security purposes.
The Admin Theme Styler gives you full control over the colors and branding of your WordPress admin area. You can customize the admin menu background, text color, hover states, active item color, submenu background, admin bar colors, button colors, and widget border colors. A built-in live preview sidebar shows your changes in real time before you save. Pro users can also upload a custom logo to replace the WordPress logo in the admin sidebar, hide screen options tabs, help tabs, footer text, update notifications, and admin notices for a cleaner interface.
The Access Role Creator lets you control which admin menu items are visible to each user role. You can hide any combination of parent menus and submenu items for roles like Editor, Author, Contributor, and Subscriber. The Pro version adds two restriction modes. The Block and Show No Access Page mode hides menu items and also blocks direct URL access, showing a styled Access Restricted page when users try to access blocked pages. The Hide Menu Only mode simply removes menu items from the sidebar without blocking URL access, which is useful for basic UI cleanup. Pro users can also hide the frontend admin bar per role and set custom login redirect URLs per role.
The Pro version of this WordPress admin customization plugin includes access restriction modes with a styled blocked page, the ability to hide the frontend admin bar for specific roles, custom login redirect URLs per role, a custom admin logo in the sidebar, five admin cleanup options for removing WordPress interface clutter, the option to apply custom styling to administrator accounts, and dedicated email support. One Pro license covers unlimited WordPress sites with a one-time payment of 49 dollars and no recurring fees.
Common issues include cached styles preventing changes from appearing, custom colors not showing for administrator accounts in the free version, and menu items remaining visible after saving restrictions. The troubleshooting section provides step-by-step solutions for each issue.
